This November - Think Big. Shop Small.
With major shopping strips being over-run with the same big companies, many of them being international chains, it’s important to remember the little guys that keep our economy ticking over – the small businesses that work overtime to carve out their niche in this increasingly tough economy.
Small businesses make up 95% of the Australian businesses, but how can you get ahead when your resources are already stretched and your budget is limited? That’s where the Shop Small movement comes in.
Shop Small is a new initiative rallying Australian’s to show their local community businesses some love. We want to breath life back into our small business economy throughout November. But why stop there?
Netregistry is a proud sponsor of the Shop Small movement.
A highlight of Shop Small are two complimentary Shop Small business events, that Netregistry is thrilled to be involved in:
- Melbourne 18th November – Register here
- Sydney 22nd November – Register here
Our CEO Larry Bloch and General Manager Sam Shetty will be sharing their expertise on launching and growing a successful online business as well as getting your current brick and mortar business online to increase customers and sales. Also speaking at the events are ex-Olympian and small business owner, Michael Klim, Masterchef and restauranter George Calombaris and Nick Bowditch from Facebook. Each will share stories of their success and how you can adapt what they’ve done to work for your small business.
Each session will provide practical, business building strategies that have been tried, tested and proven to work by successful small business owners and leaders in the industry. From earning money through visitors clicking on your website to increasing business health through digital productivity, there’s something for everyone. It’s also a great opportunity to network with other small business owners and you could win one of five business make over grants worth $10,000 each.
Netregistry has been a long-time avid supporter of small businesses and believe that the Shop Small initiative is a great opportunity for all Australians to support the small business community by shopping local. We help small businesses get themselves online every day and we are there every step of the way, from securing a domain name to building a website and engaging in online marketing.
Don’t miss out on this great event for small businesses. Limited seats are available at each event, so register today at www.seeuthere.com/shopsmallevents.
